Probably the oldest song on this album, Annamarie was written way back in the Hangar Sixteen days and I couldn’t get it out there as we were playing metal by then. It’s about someone I knew in high school basically and when I wrote it, I had not seen the person for about a couple of months so it was not completely accurate. It relates to unrequited feelings and how much it could have worked but didn’t – for a reason obviously.

Factoid: the guitar solo at the end was recorded in 2001
